Amanda Purvankara – Breaking the Boundaries

While the laws of Independent India are robust giving women a safety net, it is unfortunate that Gender Equality is still an issue. Gender Equality is one of the severe issues in our current modern society. It refers to the equality of responsibilities, rights, and opportunities for females and males. Women, as well as girls, still fall behind the men and boys on some fundamental aspects globally.

Amanda Purvankara, director of one of India’s largest real estate development companies, Provident Housing Limited, is breaking all those boundaries and is also working tirelessly in empowering marginalized women in India.

While advocating for gender equality, in a recent interview she talks about how women have been noted to be natural peacekeepers, mediators, meticulous planners, organizers, and multi-taskers and with the current prowess women have in the workforce, companies would be at a disadvantage if they didn’t harness these developments. Amanda also talks about Purvankara being an epitome of being an equal opportunity employer while creating a healthy workplace for women by creating a healthy balance.

While being the director of Provident Housing Limited, founder of Tryst Studios – a holistic fitness club, being a ‘30-under-30 ‘entrepreneur, Amanda Purvankara still finds time to work with the ‘Devdan Trust’ advocating for marginalized women and children in the country.

Amanda believes that it is of the utmost importance to maintain gender equality for global development. Women across the world need to understand and recognize their complete potential and contribute effectively in the workplace.
